Review of '71 (2014) by Michael J — 14 Feb 2015
We've seen a lot of war films set on bigger stages than the streets of 1971 Belfast, but this, for a Brit growing up in that era is so much more visceral. I could write another 1000 words of hyperbole but who wants to read that, so I'll do it in 10.
Amazingly immersive cinematography, utterly authentic story arc, Jack O' Donnall perfect. 5 stars.
