A most excellent movie, driven by the amazing performances by Ray Winstone, John Hurt, Ian McShane and Tom Wilkinson. This is a tale of a cuckolded husband and the madness that a broken heart can cause a man. Powerful stuff.
Not a movie for those who complain when a movie is "too talky" - there's not a lot of action or motion in the story - it's all done through flashback and dialogue. (Also not for those not comfortable for excessive foul language. John Hurt is a potty mouth in this movie, and it is wonderfully amusing when he goes on a rant, which he does throughout the movie.).
