Review of 35 Shots of Rum (2009) by Mike M — 04 Jun 2009
This featured a close knit husband and daughter duo living in the black neighbourhoods of Paris. Dad is a train driver and his daughter is at university - and while Dad Lionel sees that he needs to give his daughter independence - when she starts to take more of an interest in a boy in the building and looks to be moving away - he is reminded of some of the older lonely men he has worked with.
Ultimately this film didn't really go anywhere and the characters were not that likeable - but I loved the way Paris was shot.
