Review of Zozo (2005) by Sherif N — 06 Jun 2008
A tad personal, yet beautiful. It might remind you of "West Beyrouth", in the sense that they're both semi-autobiographical & take place during the war of Lebanon. Nonetheless,Josef's visual style and vigorous imagination made this piece so unique. The acting of the kid was superb. Other actors could've been better. The structure of the film was the only major problem I could think of, splitting the film into almost two halves made it a bit uneasy to watch.
Yet again, I loved it !
