This lyrical and poignant film will break your heart and haunt you forever. Xiu Xiu is luminous...watching her wild spirit be broken, and watching the man who loves her witness her destruction, is almost too much to bear.
The final triumph of love over all else is powerfully moving, and not in a way one would expect.
