Review of White Reindeer (2013) by Adrian S — 21 Jul 2014
What happens when tragedy destroys one's wedding plans? Suzanne Barrington was a perennially upbeat and chipper Virginia-based real estate agent whose life is turned upside down (in an instant) when she finds herself all alone in her decked-out home just a few mere weeks before the holidays were set to be unleashed upon her and those close to her as her fervent, over-the-top holiday planning appears to have ensured an onslaught of tinsel, snowflakes and flickering lights for the entire foreseeable future.
Suzanne also comes across some well-kept secrets regarding Jeff's life she was unaware of including the fact that he kept a mistress. Suzanne descends into some relatively new depths while trying to figure out the secrets that were kept from her.
Much of this is uncomfortable to watch and Suzanne's desperation is more tragic than funny -- it is just not for everyone.
