Review of Wall Street (1987) by Michal ? — 03 Oct 2010
I've always loved this movie. It's super-80s cheese, but it's set in the real world of trading at the time. Insider trading in the 80s was a huge concern and this movie nails it. I love how over-the-top the characters are.
I love the behind-the-scenes screwjobs. From working in this industry for years now, I can say that, despite some liberties taken, this is a pretty realistic vision of 1985 Wall Street. Michael Douglas is beyond amazing in this movie.
Just fun all around.
