The movie surprisingly sort of works. It?s not a good movie, but it?s certainly watchable. The movie has a bad script, but "Veronika" is saved because it?s quite a stylistic film; the photography is pretty good, the music is surprisingly good, the director creates beautiful images and a poetic atmosphere, and the performances aren?t bad, save for Edward.
After reading the book, I remember I wanted Veronika to die. Now after watching the movie, I?m convinced she needs to die.
