Review of Tully (2018) by John M — 09 May 2018
3/5 stars.
The movie is definitely different than most movies. It doesn't stick to any conventional script. It is funny, but it isn't a comedy. It is a drama, but never really feels like a tear jerker. It is definitely about people and life. It is a character driven, dialog driven movie. It is very raw -- you can feel the stress that Charlize Theron's character is going through. It is at times a bit vulgar.
I found it to be good, maybe heading toward very good. And it has an ending that will leave you thinking about the whole movie.
