Review of Triple 9 (2016) by Jacob F — 26 Jul 2016
Though you've seen most of these elements in a heist movie before such as greed, betrayal, and the obligatory bank robbing scene. Triple 9 still finds a way to be enjoyable and engaging even if it's plot jumps a little too much and can be hard to follow, it is saved by an incredibly talented cast that elevates the formulaic material, and some strong direction from John Hillcoat who provides some appropriately intense scenes.
Give it a chance if you like heist films. Norman Reedus and Casey Affleck are a bit wasted though.
