Review of Titanic II (2010) by Ian C — 17 Oct 2013
The centennial voyage of a reconstruction of the RMS Titanic - surprise, surprise - falls victim to a disaster at sea. And even when you accept the premise of writer/director Shane Van Dyke's made-for-television, paint-by-numbers wannabe epic, there's still no forgiving the implausibilities of what's presented, including Bruce Davison and Brooke Burns' inability to feel the cold in the Arctic and Dyke's unnatural upper-body strength during the climax.
Despite some truly painful dialogue and acting, the silliness of the production works in spite of itself and, with the assistance of a keg and pizza, does offer flashes of entertainment.
