Review of The Young and the Damned (1950) by Masorad ( — 22 Feb 2010
Unflinching film about street kids in Mexico City who use and are used at every turn. Grimly real for the most part, with matter-of-fact depictions of murder, whoring mothers, pederasty, treachery and all manner of crime.
But because this is Bunuel, we're also treated to a show-stopping dream sequence and literal egg on our face.
