Review of The Yellow Handkerchief (2009) by Debanjan C — 11 Jul 2012
The Yellow Handkerchief is a good movie. At heart, it's basically a love story revolving around William Hurt who has been released from prison following a six year sentence. He hitches a ride with a couple of teenagers, a 15 year old girl (Kirsten Stewart) )who is seeking to be accepted and a boy who is road tripping.
Together the three embark on a journey, leading towards re-uniting William Hurt with his estranged wife. It's a slow-paced movie, the flashbacks are brilliant, eventually leading to a moving ending.
The whole cast does a very, very fine job.
