Wow...I walked into this film 15 min late at 3Rivers and realized it was Paul Schrader's latest film. Woody does a provocative turn as the "American Gigolo"-like southern gentlemanly dandy at the heart of this neo-noir set among Washington's elite.
Also, the all-star cast is amazing and the dialogue is top-notch. How can you forget, Lauren Bacall saying stuff like: "Memory is an unreliable organ, just like the penis?" :) However, a bunch of us are still trying to figure out who did what to who, where, and how?
