Review of The Republic Of Love (2004) by Ryan G — 08 May 2010
One of the weirdest movies you will ever watch. We and our double date friends were 2/3 of the audience for this flick at our local arts theater (not counting the hostess). When we got back to our car for the ride home, the guffaws almost brought tears to my eyes, as we quoted lines and repeated odd scenes.
It has the feel of an independent film created as a post-graduate product of a arts school student. Totally random visual effects in the last ten minutes. Ridiculously fast conclusion of the plot.
Points for best use of airplane landing gear in a film, though.
