Review of The Princess Blade (2001) by Patrick L — 23 Mar 2004
If you take the first three minutes of the movie and call it a short film, it's pretty damn great. Yes, only the first three minutes are good. Too bad the story is horribly boring and the action is not worthwhile.
Some scenes are pretty funny though, but I'm sure they aren't suppose to be. Like the main girl trying to fight off the girl chasing her while running away at the same time (which remains me of a Russ Meyer film). And then there's another with the main character faces off with a bunch of enemies, and the main focus of the shot is a guy standing off on the side doing nothing.
It does have some cool scenes, but the best part is still the intro. I say watch the intro, skip the movie.
