Review of The One I Love (2014) by Kamal H — 07 Sep 2014
The One I Love is a strangely inventive film that reinvigorates the stale and stagnant romantic dramedy genre. It kicks off with a troubled married couple attending therapy sessions to work out their kinks.
This film takes an ordinary dance to a new level with a little bit of a twist. It has a shady, playful, and introspective vibe that will more than satisfy those that welcome a little philosophy in their movie-watching experience.
The film takes a fascinating approach to marital themes and individuality through its imperfect characters. I won't spoil anything here as even unwrapping the slightest detail will spill the beans.
Tensions and surprises shift from minute to minute. You would do yourself a favor by walking in blind.
