Review of The Message (1976) by Mad B — 28 Mar 2008
Excellent movie - filmed from the perspective of the camera in the position of the prophet , i.e. the cast talk directly to camera and react to it as if the prophet had spoken to them We never see or hear the prohet and in this way the Islamic laws are observed and maintained throughout.
Brilliantly acter by Anthony Quinn as the uncle of Muhammedbasically narating the story through the action. No fancy tarting up of the story -just the facts regarding the birth of islam. Should be aired as often as all the Christian "Passion" movies.
We do have more in common than different - perhaps watching this movie would be a first step in realising that.
