Review of The Last Winter (2006) by Bobby B — 13 Apr 2009
After meeting Larry Fessenden a few months ago, I felt compelled to see one of his films. Since "Habit" and "Wendigo" have proven extremely difficult to find, I settled for "The Last Winter.
" And what I received was kind of a shock. I went in with little to no expectations, and what I received was a genuinely creepy thriller, one which proves that gore and endless nudity is not required to make something that scares an audience.
When you think about what's REALLY happening here, I think what happens everyday on a scientific level is more terrifying than whatever the imagination can come up with.
