If you are looking for hardcore Lovecraftian horror, don't watch this movie. Watch in the mouth of madness or re-animator instead. This movie is more like Chuck meets Lovecraft and seasoned liberally with Kevin Smith.
The humor missed in some parts and the overall budget is really noticeably lower than most films but its still worth a watch and is sure to be loved by the nerd/gamer community at large for its utter unapologetic geekiness.
Much better than I anticipated.
