Review of The Great Ecstasy of Robert Carmichael (2005) by Edward J — 22 Jul 2007
Every character in this is totally unsympathetic. Given the gratuitous violence at the end (which I suppose is meant to make some social statement) I'm not very sympathetic towards the other people involved either.
The film tries to be serious and hints at something more until the end when it's revealed that actually, the makers are simply a little bit sick.
