Review of The Great Ecstasy of Robert Carmichael (2005) by Damien S — 22 Sep 2007
The truth about Blair's Britain. It isn't pretty, it isn't hopeful, it doesn't uplift the spirit or offer banal solutions. Every shot is beautifully composed and the script is complex, multi-layered and quite brilliantly structured in order to lure lazy audiences into its traps.
The best British film for donkey's years.
