Review of The Flame and the Arrow (1950) by Pedro R — 21 Apr 2010
I am a fan of the swashbuckling genre, so I couldn´t miss this. This movie owns a lot to the adventures of robin hood, but still has something to call is own. The plot is very left-wing, almost communist(the writer of this movie was later blacklisted).
This flick has good acrobatics(lancaster on the top of his acrobatic skills), but depiste lancaster being one of my favorite actors I didn´t like his performance very much, he was smiling all the time, I tought that sometimes the humor was a litlle bit out of place.
But still this is a good entertaining piece.
