Review of The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2000) by Ben W — 01 Aug 2007
It's a documentary film focusing on the curious career of Tammy Faye Bakker, who very recently died. She was an icon of the Christian right and an unexpected gay icon.
Filmmakers Barbato and Bailey produce a camp pop-culture tribute to the soap-opera-ish Tammy Faye.
Tammy Faye has some wonderful observations about life. My favourite being 'I don't label people, we're all made out of the same old dirt and God didn't make any junk.'.
