Review of The Eighth Happiness (1988) by Naoya K — 23 Aug 2009
This one's a "happy new year" film of Hong Kong, 1988, featuring Johnny To as the director and all-star casts. To's direction's solid and professional, but this is not really a great slapstick, because it's just a patchwork of undeveloped ideas.
You can enjoy watching it, but then again you don't need to waste your time watching actors having fun either.
