Review of The Delightful Forest (1972) by Allan C — 06 May 2015
After taking the law into his own hands, ruffian Wu Sung (Ti Lung) willingly allows himself to be arrested and exiled. But the prison warden has a favour to be done, pushing out a brute from the Delightful Forest.
The forest is actually a small gambling and whoring town, but the villains are closing in. Wu Sung is able to keep them at bay, until they are able to deceive him and almost kill him. Wu Sung is able to escape with the help of a guard, and takes the fight to them.
Despite a good performance from Lung (both physically and acting-wise), the plot is very straight forward and most of the action is near the end. This movie is average at best.
