Review of The Candidate (2008) by Benjamin E — 18 Mar 2009
A Hollywood type of thriller from the top laweyer offices of Copenhagen. A classic tale of system corruption and evidence planting and of course the "special twist" at the end where good wins over the bad.
The main actor Kaas does a good job portraying the hunted and framed defense attorney, while other actors are mainly just there for seconds. The music is unnoticable, and I didn't quite like the aggressive off and on zooming of the camera which was suppose to add suspense, but it is sometimes really annoying.
Not an excellent, but a solid filmmaking in an already well established footpath.
