Review of The Bronze (2016) by Mona C — 13 Aug 2016
I loved this movie. It won't win awards, but Rauch's performance was funny, the music spot on. Critics were rough on it I thought. As a former competitive athlete whose career ended with surgery and not on her terms, I could relate to Hope sense of loss.
Anger, bitterness and not knowing what to do next when your entire life was dedicated and immersed in something you loved. And her language and self centeredness were freaking hysterical, a la Absolutely Fabulous.
I laughed alot and even felt verklempt when Maggie won and Hope knew her time was truly over as an athlete. Anyway, just my opinion. I really liked it.
