Review of The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (2009) by Sir-Thomas K — 02 Oct 2010
Honestly I don't understand what people are thinking giving this a bad review. Of course it's not gonna be as ground breaking as the first one, not many sequels are. Duffy decided to stay with the same formula and the majority of the actors.
He made the plot a little deeper and he had to make room for the fact it took 10 years(And all the character being 10 years older looking) to get the sequel out (Hence the hiding in Ireland). But at the end of the day it comes down to this.
This movie isn't trying to be realistic. It's a movie made for people who like the irish, drinking, smoking, righteous violence, and like the ball busting relationships of the main characters.
On that level it more than delivered and was a pleasure to watch. I dare you to say that you wouldn't like to toss back a bottle of Bushmills with Connor and Murphy! The acting is a bit stretched, but your talking about completely outlandish characters here! It's the whole damn point.
