Review of The Attack (2012) by Calvin C — 20 Jul 2013
Saw this last night. If you favor independent films, add this one to your list to go see at your favorite small theater. Unusual story about an Arab doctor who owes the State of Israel everything, education, profession, upscale way of life.
He's a secular Arab, too, who grew up in a non-practicing Muslim family in Nazareth, on the West Bank. He's been married for 15 years to a mysterious, beautiful, and charismatic Arab woman from the West Bank, too, who was killed in a suicide attack whose victims were treated in the ER where the Arab-Israeli doctor practices, some of which he treated.
At first his grief overwhelms him - until he learns she may have been the suicide bomber. But was she? Go see the film and find out for yourself.
