Review of The American Mall (2008) by Bernice L — 25 Aug 2008
I must say that this movie reminded me a lot of highschool musical......but worse.
There was dancing, a love scene and a whole lot of singing, just like in highschool musical. However, at least the singing and dancing and the love seemed like it could really happen.
In The American Mall, the dancing really seemed choreographed and the music seemed staged and the love scene seemed a little two intense for a young audience.
The drama that was involved with this movie also seemed very harsh and depressing and dove into a little bit of the reality of life a little too much. I work at a mall and I could totally relate to some of the stuff that the girl was going through.
I also believe that some of the dancing and such were a little to inaproppriate. I couldn't tell what kind of audience they were wanting to capture with this move.
So in a way it was good but I think I would rather watch highschool musical, Camp Rock (which I still need to see)and Hannah Montana any day.
