Review of Tess (1979) by Arash A — 18 Nov 2007
I remember watching this movie in English. The movie has its flaws, including the bad timing of the score, Tess's gullible personality, etc... As a class we would laugh at the flaws. However overall, the film is pretty good.
Polanski shows his genious with the casting of Kinski, who's smart, naive and exotic. What really captures my eye of this film is the cinematography. It gives me chills to watch it. It is definitely his most beautiful film.
