Super is one of those ordinary people becoming superhero movies that actually sticks out from others with the same kind of basic plot. The guy really isn't a person with a social disorder or has mental problems like you see in other movies and that what makes it stand out ahead of the others.
He just wants his wife back and this is the way to do it. This isn't really a dark comedy. It is just dark...especially when it gets closer to the finale. There are things that will have you saying: "WOW!" and "OH GEEZ!"; and not always in the good way.
In the end it does reach a satisfying conclusion and for me, really makes me think that if a guy did these kind of things, this is probably how it would all end.
