Review of Stone (1974) by David S — 11 Apr 2012
Surprisingly effective film that works for a good bit of its time from the strength of its two male leads. Yes, De Niro is actually acting and doing a fine job. Norton is typically solid as well. The weak link, besides a little too much self-seriousness that's unwarranted, is the weakness of the Jovovich character.
Not only is the role underwritten, but Jovovich is just simply not qualified to salvage a dramatic part.
