Review of Steamboy (2004) by Martin T — 11 Feb 2008
Steampunk at it's best. If you thought that anime was all robots, horrifically disproportioned superhumans and fairies then Steamboy will challenge your expectations with it's setting in Victorian England.
With the exception of Anna Paquin's roaming English accent, the voice acting is spot on with Alfred Molina and Patrick Stewart (in his native Yorkshire tongue).
And Steve Jablonsky's score is one of the best I've heard in a long time, infinitely variable and very memorable.
