Review of Starbuck (2011) by Jeff N — 23 Apr 2013
"Starbuck" turns a terrific idea into a terrific movie that's equal parts funny and touching. Bolstered by a great performance by the Québécois actor Patrick Huard, Director Ken Scott's film is so balanced in it's execution and so damn lovable that even it's unabashed leaps into sentiment never ring false.
This is a feel-good movie of the utmost quality. See it before the unnecessary Hollywood remakes (starring Vince Vaughn) hits theatres.
