Review of Spectral (2016) by Sam R — 14 Dec 2016

For a movie I have never heard of before, and as something I just played out of curiosity it managed to capture my attention throughout.

I will happily stop watching a film if I do not feel vested in the plot. The first two acts of Spectral was very good in my opinion, the story had a gripping element, the acting was believable and not forced. The film clearly had a good budget and as a netflix movie goes I am happy with it.

Though I a believe the movie was let down by the final act, suddenly it became all too Hollywood and unbelievable. Which lost a star for me. The action was well portrayed though I do feel the "villians" were not nearly scary enough!

All in all a solid 3 star movie, keep it for that Saturday evening with little to do.
