Review of Space Is the Place (1974) by Simon W — 05 Feb 2009
If you ever want to see the literal interpretation of "jumbled mess" just watch this movie. The plot is out there, which I can dig. A space ship that runs on hip, nonsensical music takes Jazz musician Sun Ra to a Utopian planet, so he comes back to save the black people and select white women from the tyranny of earth.
The problem was that I don't know if any of the dialogue or plot actually made any sense, and I know for a fact that the lyrics to his "songs" were written by opening a dictionary and picking words at random.
