Review of Sorry, Haters (2005) by Lisa E — 12 Feb 2008
This movie gets all kinds of cudoes for putting out there an unusual female character that one doesn't often get to see. Robin Wright Penn plays a crazy, crafty, racist character, who manipulates our perceptions so well.
LOVEd it for it's originality and many plot twists/ surprises along the way. Plus addressing complex many-layered ideas that people hold towards Arabs/ Westerners/ terrorists/ media today. Many scenes, especially the last few, sticks with you.
.. and is quite disturbing.
