Review of Sometimes a Great Notion (1971) by Kim P — 22 Oct 2007
A little deeper than I can go mentally late at night, but I'm interested to watch it again when I'm fully awake. The acting in the film was truly amaing: Fonda, Newman and Remick are all amazing.
I really watched this film to see Richard Jaeckel who was nominated for an Oscar for this film, and the nomination was well deserved. He spent most of his career playing villians and his role in this film was a departure.
Like the two posts below, the film contains what has to be the most frightening drowning scene ever filmed. It was incredibly difficult to watch.
