I am rating this film five stars in part to actively counter the inevitable backlash more hegemonic cinema goers have and will continue to unleash on this film.
The bottom line is, this is a good Oliver Stone film that tells an urgent truth of our time, through the lens of an ultimately moral protagonist who is villified by the "good" guys of global politics. "Snowden" is a must-watch film if for no purpose but to educate the masses on the misgivings of their elected leaders, and the complacency of "free" "democratic" populations. Bravo, Oliver!
