Review of She's Gotta Have It (1986) by Hagen R — 02 Nov 2007
I like Spike Lee, and this film is not only the best I've seen with him in the director's seat; it also features some great acting by him which is bound to make you guffaw. Overall the film is a very atmospheric portrayal of a quadrangular relationship between three involuntarily submissive men and a strong and sexually emancipated woman.
Probably the closest Lee has ever got to Woody Allen.
