Review of Shark Night 3D (2011) by Josh B — 18 Jan 2012
One of the best surprises of 2011 was how much I enjoyed this dumb shark flick, which is filled with characters I actually cared about and a plot lifted right from Lake Placid. Even though it was PG-13, it managed to show brutality without going over-the-top.
I was actually shocked at how gory the movie was. Chris Zylka shines, and I was rooting for him the entire time. Sara Paxton is amazing as always, and everyone else (including Dustin Milligan & Katharine McPhee) really make the best of their roles.
The best part is the contagious energy as you can really tell how much fun the cast was having when they made the movie.
