Review of September Dawn (2007) by Corey O — 18 Nov 2007
I have heard this called an "important" film - powerful and relevent in today's politically charged world. It really is a terribly interesting film though. Eclectic cast. Beautifully shot.
The love story is a Catch-22: it makes the film even more emotionally moving and passionate than it already is, but also it is unfortunately corny and silly compared to the main issue of religious tolerance and extremism.
A definite conversation-starter and worth seeing.
