While the acting wasn't really the best, and the cheesy romance useless, it really wasn't that bad of a movie. I do find it interesting how some people claim it's the worst movie they've ever seen though.
Trust me, there ARE worse. I don't know the extent Mormons were really involved. However, dive into REAL LDS history and you'll notice this movie does bring out a lot of info on the early church.
I do wish the church would be more open and honest about what happened though. But what ever really did happen aside, like I said, it wasn't that bad of a movie.
