Review of Satan Met a Lady (1936) by Anthony V — 22 Dec 2007
This is the Maltese Falcon but it's been hollywoodized. The makers probably thought they were transforming the story into a highly memorable screwball comedy. They failed. The movie is watchable but it is actually more interesting watching it from an academic view and comparing it to John Huston's Maltese Falcon.
