It's about as typical and cliche as any other of the low-budget tv monster movies, but this one is self-aware and rather fun. The characters are bad, and they try to be bad. The plot is crazy, and full of Jaws-spoof moments.
Most importantly, the sharks are interesting and unique. Overall, the movie knows what it is, and it does it right.
