Review of Samurai Jack: The Premiere Movie (2017) by Gwenllian L — 05 Apr 2008
The first three episodes put together as a movie, there's no other cartoon like it. Nothing else uses silence so effectively, and each moment becomes a work of art. Jack's travels around the world and training in different fighting styles are truly breathtaking.
And you can't beat Mako as the voice of super-demon-villain Aku. Watch the whole series, but this is a good and seamless place to start. (See also Jack and the Spartans for an even better take on the 300 story.
