Review of Roman (2006) by Vadim S — 18 Dec 2007
A bizarre and rather uncomfortable film to watch, but impressive none-the-less. Although made by the creators of the modern horror classic May (this time Lucky McKee acts and Angela Bettis directs), the two films share a drastically different tone.
While May was about a woman's descent into madness, Roman is about a man's struggle to escape it. Shot on home video and boasting some impressive, natural performances, the film holds your attention while making you constantly squirm in your seat.
This definitely isn't a film for everyone, but it's also a film you won't soon forget.
