Director Paul Verhoven made his mark on Hollywood with this tight action thriller about a cyborg cop out for revenge. For some reason, it's seen as a cult classic. The truth is this film's action and intelligence more than earn the respect of Hollywood; it earns the right to be called a sci-fi classic.
